Our Philosophy

Agebest Basics

Agebest Basics® is committed to being the change we want to see in the world – an ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible business committed to what we like to call “enlightened capitalism.™” This new business paradigm is driven not solely by the pursuit of profits, but by being mindful of our customers, employees, suppliers, retailers, community, and the environment.

We will only sell natural, healthful products that we know will make a qualitative difference in the lives of those who use them.

We believe strongly in a healthy lifestyle and conscious prevention before the necessity of treatment. Physical fitness coupled with a healthy diet and restful sleep is truly a key to well being. A healthy body, a healthy mind. In light of this, we make products that can better help a person’s own body to help itself.

We are a very small and very independent company, and we like it that way. We are not owned by some big, multilevel/network marketing or pharmaceutical company. We make everything that we offer ourselves, and we’ll never put our label on another company’s product.

In producing our products, we aim to tread lightly on this earth – we recycle and reuse in our office, lab and production facility; we actually purchase carbon offsets to lighten our carbon footprint; we consider the environment when sourcing and designing packaging and marketing materials; we are streamlining our business practices so that they produce more results with less travel, transportation, and telecommunication; and we source ingredients that are organic, local and sustainably farmed when possible.

We impress upon our suppliers our core beliefs concerning our business ideals and work with those of like mind whenever possible. We promise to deal honestly and negotiate fairly with all parties involved, and provide a sustainable economic incentive to anyone who works with us.

Our retailers are a primary conduit to our customer base. They include spas, hotels, resorts, health and grocery stores and other storefronts, catalogues and online merchants. Our goal is to do business only with like-minded retailers who support our mission and the health needs of our customers.

We help the communities in which we do business. We will try to hire qualified local people who may be economically challenged. We want to put money back into our communities by “buying local” whenever possible. We are active in our local business communities, participate in local activities and will go through the process of becoming a “certified green business.” We make charitable contributions to these communities and encourage our employees to do so as well.

Our employees are our best asset, and will always be treated as such. We pay fair wages, determined not only by prevailing market wages but by the inherent value of the contribution of the person. Our employees are encouraged to become “owners” of the company through stock purchase. We provide and pay for their healthcare, any sick leave, leaves of absence and sabbaticals. We provide and contribute to our employees’ retirement accounts. We encourage and give paid time off for community involvement and volunteerism in charities, churches and schools. We do everything we can to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families. After all, we are a family.
